Who We Are

Select Salvage is a nationwide salvage buyer based in Wayland, Michigan. We purchase damaged, totaled, and repairable equipment and vehicles directly from insurance companies, TPAs, self-insured pools, manufacturers, and equipment owners across all 50 states.

We are not a broker or an auction house. When we make an offer, we own the transaction from start to finish: no seller fees, no buyer fees, no middlemen.

Chris Weller, Founder & President

Meet the Owner

Our Founder & President Chris Weller has spent more than 40 years in the salvage industry.

He built his career at Weller Auto/Truck Parts, a family business he ran with his brothers, where he focused on buying and selling salvage equipment nationwide.

When he sold that business, Chris wasn’t done. He founded Select Salvage to keep doing the work he knows best: building direct relationships with adjusters and equipment owners, making fair offers, and closing deals the right way.

Chris personally reviews every bid that comes in and responds within two business days. In a market where most transactions run through impersonal auction platforms, that kind of accessibility to expertise matters.

Our Facility

Select Salvage operates from a secure, 20-acre facility in Wayland, Michigan, with both indoor and outdoor storage. Equipment is held on-site at no charge while titles and payments are processed. The facility is fenced and secure, built to handle everything from passenger vehicles to large AG and construction equipment.
